WELCOME! We hope you find our website to be of interest and that you will be encouraged to find out more about our unique approach to religion. Feel free to come and visit us to find out more - you will be pleasantly surprised. You will find us in Clare Street, Denton, just behind the Crown Point North shopping centre and next door to Russell Scott Primary School.

Unitarianism is a religion that seeks to encourage everyone to find their own spiritual path through life. It arose out of the liberal Christian tradition and still bears some of its characteristics. It is a progressive faith, however, and seeks for inspiration in other religions and philosophies. Unitarians today may call themselves Liberal Christians or they may prefer to think of themselves as Universalists, non-Christian Theists, or Religious Humanists. Some Unitarians are inspired by earth-centred spiritualities. Individual positions are respected and valued as we have no creeds and no doctrines on which we must all agree.

Worship

Regular services take place every Sunday at 11.00a.m. Occasionally there may be special services, such as the Christmas Day service, anniversaries or meditation services.

Sunday School

There is a regular Sunday School that takes place also at 11.00a.m. run by qualified leaders. It is a small and friendly group that also takes part in some of the worship services. All ages are catered for and fun as well as learning is an important aspect of its role.

Events

There many events that take place during the year. We hold social events, such as dances, coffee mornings, quizzes, games nights etc. All are detailed in the Calendar.

Our Minister

Rev. Dr. Vernon Marshall was appointed as our Minister in February 1999. He is leaving soon, however, to take up another appointment in October 2008. We will miss him very much but wish him well in his new venture.
